Counselling and therapy in a safe, comfortable and private setting

You may have found yourself in a place that feels puzzling, where an additional perspective may be helpful. My role as a psychotherapist is to provide a safe space where you feel able to explore what has brought you to therapy.

Research suggests that it's the relationship between therapist and client that is the most helpful. Warmth, empathy and being non-judgmental are key parts of my presence as a psychotherapist and counsellor. I work from an integrative perspective, holding my clients knowledge and experience of their lives at the core of our work together.

I have a comfortable, private counselling room located between Burford and Carterton covering Witney and the local Oxfordshire area. I also work out of another space in Cirencester and online if preferred.

About Jo Montague-Fuller Counselling and Psychotherapy

I work with issues that include:

  • Anger
  • Anxiety
  • Anger
  • Bereavement, grief and loss
  • Depression
  • Low mood
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Self-esteem
  • Stress

I am an Integrative psychotherapist (BSc, MBPS, MSc, UKCP accred., MBACP) providing psychotherapy and counselling both in person and online.

My MSc and training from the University of Warwick in an Integrative approach brings a versatile and empathetic approach to my practice.

I hold professional accreditation with UKCP and am a Member of BACP and the BPS and adhere to their ethical guidelines.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I earned a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling. My adult years were enriched by living abroad, raising a family, and co-founding a business with my partner. These diverse experiences have given me an understanding of different environments and the unique challenges life can bring.

Life transitions can impact our mental health and can often be pushed aside. Whether it’s a career change, moving to a new place, or significant personal milestones, I offer a space to help clients navigate these changes.

I have a deep respect for the natural world, with a particular interest in horses. I hope to be able to include equine-assisted psychotherapy in the future and to offer clients the healing presence of horses within the therapeutic space.

I offer a counselling and psychotherapy space where you can be supported whether you are seeking personal growth and self-awareness, a deeper understanding of relationship issues, or navigating life’s challenges.

As an integrative psychotherapist I have different theoretical perspectives that I hold lightly in my work which can help us explore your lived experience together.

Life can sometimes feel confusing and complex, and can leave us wondering why?

What is integrative psychotherapy?

It's an holistic approach exploring the relational, psychological, embodied and spiritual elements of life. The aim is to provide space for personal reflection, self-awareness and growth.
