Counselling and therapy in a safe, comfortable and private setting

My role as a psychotherapist is to provide a space where you feel safe and able to explore what has brought you to therapy, where you're met in an empathetic, non judgmental way. About Jo Montague-Fuller Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am an Integrative psychotherapist (BSc, MBPS, MSc, UKCP accred., MBACP) providing psychotherapy and counselling both in person and online.

I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, accredited by UKCP and a member of the BACP. My MSc and training from the University of Warwick in an Holistic Phenomenological Integrative approach brings a versatile and empathetic approach to my practice.

My training and experience in different theoretical perspectives enables me to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client. I hold the theoretical approaches below in mind and integrate them as needed:

  • Humanistic
  • Person-Centred
  • Gestalt
  • Psychodynamic
  • Jungian
  • Relational
  • Existential
  • Attachment theory
  • Self-Psychology

Before training as a psychotherapist, I earned a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling. My adult years were enriched by living abroad, raising a family, and co-founding a business with my partner. These diverse experiences gave me an understanding of different environments and the unique challenges life can bring.

I have a keen interest in understanding how life transitions affect our mental health. Whether it’s a career change, moving to a new place, or significant personal milestones, I offer a space to help clients navigate these changes.

I have a deep respect for the natural world, with a particular interest in horses. I hope to be able to include equine-assisted psychotherapy in the future and to offer the clients the healing presence of horses within the therapeutic space.

I offer a space where you can be supported whether you are seeking personal growth and self-awareness, a deeper understanding of relationship issues, or are navigating life’s challenges.

As an integrative psychotherapist I have numerous theoretical perspectives that I hold lightly in my work but which enable us to explore your lived experience together.

Life can at times feel confusing and complex, by integrating different perspectives an appreciation of the nuances of our relationship with our self and others can come to the fore.

Integration allows an holistic approach in which to explore the relational, psychological, spiritual and somatic elements of life. I aim to provide, within the therapeutic space, room for personal reflection, self-awareness and growth.
